Thirsty

She pours everything she has
Into a single cup for him
He drinks up every delicious drop
But offers nothing in exchange
Leaving her still thirsty for him
Yet she still longs to offer more
If he were to crave another sip

Sarah Ritter is a poet and writer who recently published her first illustrated book: "Dad, Won't You Walk With Me." In this story, a young girl invites her dad to walk with her through the most important events of her life. Sarah Ritter previously published her first poetry collection "Inspirations, Transformations and Revelations: A Poetic Expression of My Personal Journey" in 2019. Sarah Ritter is also a contributing poet to the "We Are Beat Anthology" and the "Goddess Anthology" by The National Beat Poetry Foundation, as well as the "Connecticut Bards Northwest Poetry Review," "The Mondo," and "A Pathway to Dreams," published by Local Gems Press.
